Brasília, 14 January 2019 - The International Policy Centre for IncIusive Growth (IPC-IG) is proud to present its new visual identity to commemorate its 15 years as a global forum for South-South dialogue on innovative development policies and to mark the start of celebrations over the coming months.  Readers will find the new logo in all of the IPC-IG’s knowledge products, from the popular One Pagers to our flagship magazine Policy in Focus, as well as on the Centre’s website and social media channels.

A brief history of the Centre - Over the last decade, the Centre has become a leading voice for inclusive growth in and for the Global South. Established in 2004 as the International Poverty Centre (IPC), it was the result of a partnership between the Government of Brazil and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with the mission of promoting policy dialogue and to facilitate learning. The Centre’s first logo sought to capture this mission.

In 2009, the Centre’s name changed to International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG) to reflect its commitment to a wider policy agenda in a world where international cooperation for development was changing. A new logo was developed to reflect this new engagement.

In 2014, a special logo was created to commemorate the Centre’s 10-year anniversary. It was used for all materials and publications until September 2015.

Later on, in October 2015, a new visual identity was developed and used until the end of 2018. In this iteration of the logo, the outline of the circle represents the world and the international community in general, also suggesting unity and inclusion. The name of the Centre within this circle shows that the IPC-IG is part of something greater than itself: the promotion of sharing and inclusive growth.
