Directory of Research Centres in Developing Countries

IPC-IG forges strong links with researchers and policymakers in developing countries through activities such as collaborating on policy-oriented comparative research, offering training courses and holding workshops and conferences. Similarly, IPC-IG is developing an online directory of institutions doing research on its main programme areas to enhance knowledge sharing among researchers and policy makers in the field of inclusive growth.

Around 1,600 collaborative research centres in 106 countries have already been contacted by IPC-IG. Strengthening cooperation with these centres on our programme areas is our current objective. UNV's Online Volunteers significantly contribute to the improvement of the IPC-IG’s outreach results and on building this directory.

The research centres currently included in our directory represent 27 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, 38 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, and 27 countries in Asia and the Pacific.

This directory is an instrument to advance the dialogue towards the promotion of inclusive growth. Being available to a global audience, this directory strenghtens knowledge sharing among researchers and policymakers and promotes the international visibility of research centres in developing countries.
