International Policy Conference
Strengthening the Employment Nexus Between Growth and Poverty Reduction
International Poverty Centre

The conference will gather international and national experts to discuss the puzziling inability of good macro economic policies to generate growth and also to reduce poverty. Drawing from global patterns and country case studies, participants will aim to establish a common global agenda for future research and policy formulation among UNDP, ILO and other international partners. Organised by the global project of the UNDP Bureau for Development Policy on Pro-Poor Policy Reform, the ILO-UNDP Global Programme on Employment-Poverty Linkages, and the International Poverty Centre, the conference will be host by the UNDP International Poverty Centre, established in partnership with IPEA here in Brasilia.
