Population and Social Policies

The area of work at the IPC-IG deals with the human dimensions of the Social Policies with a focus on their inclusion in the process of social development. The sub-categories of such work include:

  • Human Settlement, Social Groups and Equity

Structural changes to promote equity such as: the empowerment of women and the expansion of the middle classes in developing countries. Spatial inequality in its manifestations of rights and justice, beyond socio-economic differentials.

  • Living Standards and M&E of Poverty Reduction Strategies

Studies on poverty and living standards: development of vulnerability indicators;  tools for monitoring and evaluation to comprehend the key factors of poverty reduction and improvement of living standards.
